Spring Graduating BFA Exhibition

The John J McDonough Museum of Art, on the campus of Youngstown State University will open the Spring Graduating BFA Exhibition, a collaboration with the Department of Art at YSU. The show features work by students achieving completion of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. An opening reception for the artists will be held on Friday evening, April 21, from 6 to 8pm. The exhibit will remain on view in the Museum’s galleries through May 5.

Students in the Department of Art work closely with nationally and internationally known faculty engaged in a broad range of art and design practices. Immersed in the quest for knowledge and creative self-realization, students embrace the advantages of professional studio and design programs. The Graduating BFA Exhibition is the opportunity for students to share the original and innovative discoveries they have made in their artistic journeys communicating to the public their creative expressions of human experience.

The Spring Graduating BFA Exhibition celebrates the work of twenty nine students in the areas of graphic + interactive design, photography, digital media and 3D studies. Students participating in this exhibition are Melina Bairamis, Meg Bell, Shannon Black, Jamie Bogdan, Deanna Cameneti, Mara Clark, Madelyn DeCesare, Tiffany Fiedler, Anne Flood, Kerrianne M. Ghinda, Michael Hardy, Abigayle Jones, Andrew Karmecy, Sierra Leveto, Amanda Miller, Whitney Miller, Michelle Nagel, Stephanie Nussle, Mariah Peek, Alex James Ploskodniak, Victoria A. Riley, Marisa Rothbauer, Tiffany Marie Simone, Rebecca Stafford, Mackenzie Sturtz, William Sutak, Alexzandria Traficant, Stacy Tucker and Alexa Zackasee.

Hours at the McDonough Museum of Art are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am until 4pm. The Museum is open to the public and admission is free.

The McDonough Museum of Art is located on the campus of Youngstown State University. Parking is available in the M30 deck for a nominal fee. During construction on Wick Avenue please follow detours posted for the Walnut Street entrance to the parking deck. The GPS address for the M30 deck is 100 Wade Street, Youngstown, OH 44502.
